Bellows Mill is a beautiful water mill nestling at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, set in 21 acres of picturesque grounds. We offer high quality accommodation and Internet access. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and TVs. We are sure you will enjoy the tranquil surroundings and relaxed atmosphere that we have to offer.
The accommodation is situated in the stable block which was converted to 6 ensuite bedrooms rooms in 1986.The Kingfisher suite was added a year ago. This is especially suitable for those staying several weeks at a time, having a spacious sitting room with spiral staircase leading upstairs to a large bedroom and bathroom.

I asked the venue some questions about costs to get a real feel for what the impact is likely to be on your wallet;
"
Wow, your venue looks too good to be true.
I was a little confused by the pricings of the venue hire as I have yet to visit your location. On your 2011 pricing lists you state the venue hire for Bellows Mill is £2,650. Does this refer to the main building itself as a venue? The venue hire fee is £2,650 which includes exclusive use of the grounds for the day. We have an offer of £1,500 on at the moment if you book this year.
In respect of the barn, is this the only licensed area of your venue for civil ceremonies? Yes - the barn is currently licenced to hold civil ceremonies of up to 60 people, and we have standing room for about 20 - 30 too.
There is a quote of £450 for the civil ceremony (that's right ) and £790 for the reception in the barn. The price from £790 is for a marquee pavilion attached to the side of the barn. We usually use this for small weddings of up to 60 people and use it for the drinks reception whilst we clear the ceremony room and set up in the barn for the sit down meal.
If you were seeking to use the Barn as the venue throughout the day would this provide any further discount/fixed rate or would it simply be a combination of the two costs? If you wanted to use the barn for the day, the costs are £2,650 for the venue fee, plus £450 for the ceremony and potentially £790 if you needed the marquee extension. The current offers are as follows: £1,500 for the venue fee (reduced from £2650) and a reduced ceremony fee of £250 if you also hold your wedding reception with us.
Also, you mention that the prices include chairs, lighting, cake table and easel; I just wanted to clarify that this was applicable to the barn as well as the marquee. No, this is only applicable to the lakeside marquee. If you use only the barn, you will need to hire round tables (we already have 60 chairs). The marquee extension is fully lined and carpeted, but does not include anything else, as it is intended as a drinks area only.
I am sorry this is confusing, but there are so many options available depending on the requirements of your wedding. The best thing may be for you to let me know how many guests your wedding is for and I can give you a detailed estimate. Please also feel free to call me for a viewing."
